Day 1:
LOS ANGELES – SANTA BARBARA – ROUTE 1/17 MILE DRIVE – CARMEL
You head north along the stunning California coast, with the first stop in Santa Barbara. Visit to a Spanish Mission to understand how these religious sites were key to the development of the entire region.
We continue north to Solvang, a Danish village with typical Northern European architecture; a great opportunity for a stroll along the main street, lined with charming little shops. We continue along the famous 17 Miles Drive (which is part of Route #1) which runs along the spectacular California coast. We thus reach the picturesque town of Carmel, residence of the actor Clint Eastwood. Some free time for a stroll before departing to reach the hotel where we will stay overnight.
Overnight stay: SpringHill Suites by Marriott Oakland Airport.
Day 2:
SAN FRANCISCO – BAY CRUISE – GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE – CHINATOWN
Today, you understand why San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The tour begins with a mini-cruise that leaves from Fisherman's Wharf and travels along the famous bay, under the Golden Gate bridge and near the well-known Alcatraz Island. You return to Pier 39 for lunch and continue with a panoramic tour of the city, which includes the Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Chinatown, and Nob Hill. The tour ends with a splendid evening view of the city from the Bay Bridge.
Overnight stay: Modesto – Modesto Hotel
Day 3:
SAN FRANCISCO – YOSEMITE – STEVENSON RANCH
You take the road toward the farms of Joaquin Valley, heading toward Yosemite National Park. Two thousand wonderful square kilometers of forests, lakes, waterfalls found in the Sierra Nevada. We stop at El Capitan, Bridal Veil Fall, and Half Dome, then continue on foot from the Yosemite Park Visitor Center to reach the tallest waterfalls in North America: Yosemite Falls.
Overnight stay: Comfort Inn and Suites Stevenson Ranch
Day 4:
DEATH VALLEY - BARSTOW - LAS VEGAS
You head east, passing through the desert and the famous Death Valley to reach the gambling capital: Las Vegas. We stop for lunch at the Barstow Outlet, full of shops such as Levi's, Nike, Reebok, Timberland and many more, at competitive prices. In the evening, we take a panoramic tour of the famous Las Vegas Strip to see from the outside some of the incredibly imaginative hotels and buildings built in the middle of the desert: Caesar’s Palace, Mirage, Luxor, Paris, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Treasure Island, and many more. During the free evening, you can attend one of the many shows or try your luck at one of the many casinos; Lady Luck smiles on many every day!
Overnight stay: Harrah's Hotel
Day 5:
LAS VEGAS – GRAN CANYON – PAGE
You depart in the morning heading southeast through the desert and the Navajo Indian Reservation before arriving at the southern rim of "ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD," the Grand Canyon. Passing through the southern side, one can understand how over millennia the Colorado River has carved its way to the sea, creating this unique geological wonder. After lunch, we continue along the east side of the Canyon, stopping at some of the many Indian markets to discover their craftsmanship.
Overnight stay: Quality Inn View of Lake Powell
Day 6:
ANTILOPE CANYON – BRYCE CANYON
We begin the day where "water flows through the rocks," as the Navajo folklore tradition says. We then visit the upper part of Antelope Canyon and the spectacular dunes created by wind, water, and sand; there are no words that can describe these creations of Mother Nature. On the way back from the canyon, we head towards Bryce Canyon, home to some of the most incredible natural sculptures in the world. Our tour will take you to see these fascinating stone and sand formations, perfectly sculpted by millennia of sun, wind, and rain. Don't miss the fantastic change of colors during sunset from one of the park's viewpoints (this may vary depending on the time of sunset).
Overnight stay: Days Inn Kanab. In some departures, the tour will continue to Cedar City for the night at Comfort Inn, Cedar City
Day 7:
ZION PARK - LAS VEGAS - LOS ANGELES
After breakfast, we head to Zion National Park. The name was chosen by Mormons who settled in the area, as visiting this park feels like a religious experience for them. The grandeur of the mountains and the silence of nature give the sensation of being transported to another world.
You’ll explore the park and walk along part of the trail by the Virgin River that flows through the park, before leaving this incredible place and returning to Las Vegas, or for a late-night arrival in Los Angeles (optional return).
